Active Body Control (ABC)

Arguably the most advanced suspension system in production, ABC provides an excellent balance of ride comfort and handling. A series of sensors and electronically controlled high-pressure hydraulics counteracts the effects of roll, vibration, pitch, dive, and squat. And to help adjust ride quality and responsiveness, the driver can select either Sport or Comfort mode via a button next to the shift knob.

Engines

Mercedes-Benz has been making racing history with the SL-Class since the legendary Gullwing model of 1954. But it has never been quite as dynamic as it is today, equipped with eight and twelve cylinder engines that deliver spine-tingling acceleration.

The SL-Class experience starts with a V-8 engine under the hood of the SL 550. Its 382 hp catapult it to 100 km/h in a mere 5.4 seconds, and 391 lb-ft of torque is available between 2,800 and 4,800 rpm.
